Firewall Checklist

  1. Set options for prompting, Do not use default settings, allow programs to access the Internet as they request access;
  2. Set option to automatically check for updates;
  3. Check for latest updates immediately;
  4. Test all internet applications to insure they work properly;
  5. Test your firewall with LeakTest; adjust firewall settings to further lockdown access;
  6. Set option to automatically start firewall after reboot; test by rebooting your computer and insuring firewall starts automatically.

  7. Test your firewall again from the Internet.  Go to the Firewall Testing page.
